Facilitation and Promotion of Horticultural Exports in Mozambique

The objectives of the report are to:

(1) Study and identify non – tariff barriers to agricultural exports in Mozambique;

(2) Prepare a draft Action Plan for possible actions to reduce or eliminate those that hamper trade;

(3) Identify information requirements for potential exporters to navigate South African agriculture import procedures more efficiently leading to the development of a practical “how-to” exporter’s manual;

(4) Promote cross-border trade and investment opportunities between Mozambique and South Africa in export agriculture; and

(5) Provide training in a field day for members of the Litchi Working Group in Chimoio on improved grafting and air-layering techniques
